Valerion Firmware Release Notes - August 2026, Firmware Q0718

✅About this download

  • Valerion provides software updates in order to enhance functionalities and provide users with the latest projector experience, and all your personal configuration settings will be retained after upgrading.

 

✨ Major Enhancements

  • Add Dynamic IRIS (exclusive to Valerion Max) for automatic contrast adjustment, which automatically adjusts the IRIS level according to the brightness of the displayed picture. (Check Help Center: Link)
  • Add Independent Valerion ThunderBeat Sound System menu. Accessible via the projector built-in OSD (On-Screen Display) for adjusting Valerion ThunderBeat Sound System settings. (Path: All Settings → Display & Sound → Sound → Audio System → ThunderBeat menu)
  • Add 8-point manual keystone correction.  (Check Help Center: Link)

 

✨ Other Enhancements

  • Add EBL [Medium] for more balanced black detail. (Check Help Center: Link)
  • Add AWOL Link Control support, which supports the AWOL IP Control protocol, achieve linkage with your smart home system. (For the command list and more details, check Help Center: Link)
  • Add Low Noise Mode to reduce fan noise. (Check Help center: Link)
  • Add IR codes for AWOL Valerion remote. (Check Help Center: Link)
  • Add anamorphic 2.0:1 and 1.85:1 options for Anamorphic Lens. (Path: All Settings → Display & Screen → Picture Size)
  • Eye Protection modes: Off / Carefree / Focus. (Path: All Settings → Projector → Auto Eye Protection)

Carefree Mode: Immediately turns off the display once the projector detects obstruction in front of it.

Focus Mode: Turns off the display after a delay once the projector detects obstruction in front of it.

  • Remove auto dimming in black scenes for stable brightness.
  • Picture size now adjustable in Dolby Vision mode.

 

✨ Major bug fixed

  • 3D resolution fixed in Frame Packing scenes.

 

🛠️ Preparation - Check the Software version

  1.  Press the remote menu shortcut , and then select Help bar menu.  

    If not shown → select More → add Help bar menu

 

2) Select System Message → check your software version

 

If the version is V0000.01.00E.Q0718 or higher, your software is up to date. No update is required.

 

 

 

⭕【2 Ways to Update Your Projector Firmware】

⚠️Important Note: You will not be able to roll back to the previous firmware version once the update is completed.

 

 ✨Method 1 - Firmware Update by OTA

Note:

Your projector may indicate the Software is up to date even if the newer version is not installed. The software updates available for automatic download have staggered release dates and may not be immediately available following Google OTA schedule strategy (May last around 1 to 2 weeks). Please try again later. 
 
If you prefer to update immediately, you have to use the other way to upgrade firmware thru USB flash drive.
 

The recommended and easier way to finish the software updates is to use the System update method. And with the System update feature enabled, you will automatically receive a notification to update your projector.

The projector will automatically restart. Do not power it off during the entire upgrade process.

 

1) Press the projector remote control  (Settings) button or (Shortcut) button, and then select System.

 

2) Select About → System Update

 

3) Select Upgrade 

 

4) The projector will download, verify, and install the update package automatically

* Do not power off during update

 

5) Select OK to restart following the on-screen instructions

 

6) Check the updated software version

Please follow the previous Check the Software Version notes in the Preparation section to confirm the upgrade result.

  • If the version number is V0000.01.00E.Q0718 the software update was successful.

  • If the version number isn’t V0000.01.00E.Q0718, it’s recommended to upgrade the projector again.

⚠️ The prefix of the version number varies depending on the model; only the last four digits need to be confirmed

 

 

✨Method 2 - Firmware Update by USB Flash Drive

You can also update the software by using a USB flash drive if the Internet connection is not available for your projector or you don't want to wait for the update via the System update function.

 

Note: On very rare occasions, this method could potentially lead to partial data loss. We recommend backing up your important data as a precaution before using this method.

What you need: A computer with Internet access to download the firmware files and a FAT32 format USB flash drive.

 

📝Important Notices (must read)

Read the instructions carefully or you could end up causing the projector to become unresponsive or require a repair.

  • Do not turn off the projector or disconnect it from power while it's updating.
  • Do not press any buttons, except the ones mentioned in the instructions.
  • Prepare a blank USB flash drive formatted in FAT32. Do not unplug the USB drive during the upgrade process.
  • Check and disable features such as scheduled shutdown.
  • Unplug external devices to prevent them from causing the device to shut down.

 

Step 1: Download the Update

Before you install the update, you'll need to download the update files from the Internet and save them to a FAT32 format only USB flash drive.

1) Download firmware:  Google Drive Link

2) Verify the downloaded file names and size.

  • Zip File Name: USBOTA_LASERS_20260718042800

  • File Version: V0000.01.00E.Q0718

  • File Size: 1,688,769,940 bytes

  • MD5: 5ad76fa00a43f783d70b8ba198a5716e

  • Release Date: 18-07-2026

3) Connect the USB flash drive to your computer, go to the location where the downloaded files saved, and copy the USBOTA_LASERS_20260718042800.zip into the root directory of the USB flash drive.

4) Remove the USB flash drive from your computer and continue to the next steps.

 

Step 2: Install the Update

Once the update files are downloaded to your USB flash drive, install the files on your projector. The process can take up to 30 minutes and during the installation, your projector will turn off automatically before turning itself back on.

 

1) Make sure that no other USB devices are connected to your projector.

2) Connect the USB flash drive with upgraded files to the projector USB port, and it’s recommended to use the projector USB3.0 port.

3) Press Settings / Shortcut , then select  System → About

 

4) Select Upgrade → projector verifies and installs automatically

 

5) Select OK and remove the USB flash drive to restart the projector following the below demo picture.

 

6) Check the updated software version

Please follow the previous Check the Software Version notes in the Preparation section to confirm the upgrade result.

  • If the version number is V0000.01.00E.Q0718, the software update was successful.

  • If the version number isn’t V0000.01.00E.Q0718, it’s recommended to upgrade the projector again.
