Here’s a quick guide on how to output audio from the projector via different interfaces:
- Optical (S/PDIF) Output:
- Connect the projector to your external speaker or AVR using a TOSLINK (optical) cable
- Go to Settings -> Display & Sound -> Audio Output, select Optical (S/PDIF)
- Then go to Sound -> Digital Audio Output -> Digital Audio Format, and choose Dolby Digital
- HDMI eARC/ARC Output:
- Use an HDMI 2.1-certified cable to connect the projector’s HDMI 3 (eARC) port to your soundbar or AVR
- If your audio device supports eARC, go to Settings -> Inputs -> HDMI Format, and set HDMI 3 to Enhanced, and enable the HDMI Control(CEC) feature.
- If your device only supports ARC, set HDMI 3 to Standard
- For HDMI cables over 5 meters, we recommend using a fiber-optic HDMI cable for stable transmission
- Go to Settings -> Display & Sound -> Audio Output, select HDMI (eARC)
- Then go to Sound -> eARC, and set it to Auto or Off based on your device
- Finally, in Sound -> Digital Audio Output, choose Passthrough
- 3.5mm Headphone Jack:
- Simply connect your external speaker to the projector via the headphone port
- Then go to Settings -> Display & Sound -> Audio Output, and select Wired Headphone
